Book management for existing authors

Getting Started

We need a jpg of your front cover, and a jpg photo of you, a brief bio about you as a speaker/expert in your field, also a pdf file with your book cover (front and back), and a separate pdf file of your book insides.

Please email Maria Carlton with a brief synopsis of your book – just a couple of paragraphs will do – and how many you have sold, where and how most of your sales have been made so far, and when your book was first released and/or reprinted. It’s also important to outline any other interested parties in your book such as foreign rights deals so far made, any restrictions on sales opportunities, previous publishers involved.

This is a very easy service with scope to ensure your book is more widely promoted and offered to an increasing number of international publishers. The roadblocks posed by most publishing industry insiders for self published authors means it's often very difficult to obtain distributon and international representation of books. We've taken the roadblocks away.

If you already have your book completed and you just need promotion, marketing, and access to our distribution and international exposure options, we can do the following:

Ensure your book is listed with Nationwide Books (NZ), Woodslane Distributors (AUS), with samples sent, and paperwork done for easy sales opportunities with these companies.
List your book and you as the author on Maruki Books website, featuring your speaker profile, a link to your own website and a front home page opportunity for 1 month each year - see example here
Arrange to have your book represented at the international book fairs by our top global literary agents. If any enquiries come from this activity, we’ll manage the contract negotiations and details for you and act as your agents to ensure everything happens as expected and we get the best possible deal for your book(s).
Upload your book for viewing, reviews and access to sales outlets on Google Books - see example here

$1000 for the first year – to upload your book onto our site and ensure all parts of the above are taken care of.

$500 per year for subsequent years – this covers the ongoing costs of liaising on your behalf with distributors, agents, sending samples out when requested for review (including for foreign rights options by international publishers), and keeping your information updated on our website.

NOTE: There is no cost for years 3-5. The reason for this is that the first two years is when we’re going to be doing the most work for your book(s), after that, unless you specifically request it, we’ll ease back on the promotional activities and simply maintain your book(s) as a library item on our site.
