About Maruki Books

 
Established by Maria Carlton, a professional speaker and author from New Zealand, who started helping other professional speakers and knowledge merchants to write and then publish their books; Maruki Books sprouted from this in 2006 - 2007. 

Named one of the worlds’ top 50 mentors in 2003 by Mission Marketing Mentors, a California based publishing company, who as part of this honour, invited Maria to participate in a 12 month intensive training programme covering authorship, publishing and positioning of one’s self as an expert.

Maruki Books has created/published and in some instances ghost written 12 books since December 2006. One of our authors, Pirie Brown, was named NSANZ’s (Auckland) Author of the Year in 2007. 

Maria was herself named NSANZ’s (Auckland) Author of the Year in 2004, has been speaking professionally (from Las Vegas to Invercargill) since 2004, and has personally written 6 books of her own since 2003.  She served as Chapter President of NSANZ Auckland, was National President of NSANZ, retiring from that role in 2007. 
Maria is also the (paid) Chief Editor for the Global Speakers Federation and is co-author of a new book due out in mid 2011, with Gihan Perera, one of Australasia's most highly regarded online marketing specialists.
